Sugarman Health and Well-being are looking for a Compliance Officer to join our Homecare team based in Manchester.

Salary £25,000 per annum

We are seeking an organised and motivated individual to support the branch in maintaining full compliance with CQC, legal and contractual requirements. This role plays a vital part in ensuring safe, high quality care delivery by supporting safeguarding and complaints investigations as well as workforce compliance processes.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure policies and procedures are followed, risks are managed effectively and continuous improvements are implemented across the branch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the branch in maintaining full compliance with CQC standards, legislation and company policies
  • Assist with safeguarding concerns and complaints investigations and resolution processes in line with company procedures
  • Ensure all staff compliance records, training and clearances are accurate and up to date on systems
  • Monitor and report on compliance performance identifying and escalating areas for improvement
  • Support the Registered Manager with service user and care worker surveys including analysis and action planning
  • Promote awareness of customer and regulatory requirements across the branch
  • Handle incoming queries and provide administrative support to the branch
  • Support training compliance ensuring staff are appropriately inducted and training is up to date
  • Contribute to audits quality checks and compliance tracking activities

Experience & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a compliance, quality or administrative role ideally within health or social care
  • Knowledge of CQC standards and the Care Act 2014
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work as part of a team
  • Confident using IT systems and databases
