We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to support the delivery of hard facilities management services across a complex and operationally critical estate in Gibraltar.

Working alongside the Maintenance Manager and Core FM Team, you will play a key role in ensuring planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with contractual requirements, statutory obligations and industry best practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically biased supervisor who enjoys leading teams, coordinating maintenance activities and maintaining essential infrastructure in a dynamic operational environment.

The RoleAs Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead and coordinate the Mechanical Maintenance Team while supporting the wider maintenance operation.

Your responsibilities will include

-Supervising and managing the Mechanical Team, allocating PPM and reactive maintenance tasks.

-Coordinating maintenance activities across multiple disciplines.

-Acting as the department lead during periods when the Maintenance Manager is unavailable.

-Planning and scheduling specialist contractor and insurance inspection visits.

-Working closely with the Helpdesk and PPM Team to prioritise work activities and resource allocation.

-Supporting monthly and annual maintenance reporting requirements.

-Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on a range of mechanical systems and plant.

-Ensuring compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) procedures and Safe Systems of Work (SSoW).

-Coaching and developing Mechanical Technicians through technical training and support.

-Ensuring accurate maintenance records, labour records and material usage are maintained.

-Managing remedial works documentation, including IRL and LCR submissions.

-Supporting emergency call-out requirements and operational maintenance activities.

-Occasionally travelling to remote sites and mountain-top radar locations to support maintenance operations.

What You'll Be Working OnYou will be responsible for supporting the maintenance and operation of a diverse range of systems, including:

-Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV)

-Industrial hangar doors

-Mechanical ventilation systems

-Medium Temperature Hot Water (MTHW) systems

-Steam systems

-Compressors and compressed air systems

-Lift ramps

-Catering and kitchen equipment

-Oil-fired plant and associated mechanical infrastructure

What We're Looking ForEssential

-GCSEs or equivalent qualifications.

-Completed apprenticeship or minimum NVQ Level 2 in a relevant mechanical discipline.

-Strong mechanical engineering background.

-Experience maintaining mechanical plant and building services systems.

-

Working knowledge of

-Oil-fired plant

-Compressors and compressed air systems

-Mechanical doors

-Lift ramps

-Kitchen and catering equipment

-Steam boilers

-IT literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and Outlook.

-Good understanding of Health and Safety legislation.

-Full driving licence.

-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

-Strong communication and organisational skills.

-Ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing demands.

-Self-motivated, flexible and able to work under pressure.

Desirable

-Experience working overseas.

-Experience within an MOD environment.

-Experience within a Petroleum, Oils and Lubricants (POL) environment.

-CITB Health, Safety and Environment for Managers qualification.

-SSSTS or SMSTS certification.

-CSCS Card.

-IPAF and PASMA qualifications.

-Asbestos Awareness training.

-Experience using Maximo or similar CAFM systems.

-Previous experience training, coaching or mentoring maintenance personnel.
