HGV Class 1 Driver

NEW OPPORTUNITY WITH NO HANDBALL – IMMEDIATE START - CLASS 1 DRIVERS

You’ll be joining a well-established business who specialise in delivering temperature-controlled products providing necessary support to the food distribution network nationwide.

This role is mainly simple and easy trunking temperature-controlled products delivering to supermarket RDCs with little to no manual handling, you’ll be reversing into the bays so the warehouse workers on site will unload the vehicle, only 1-2 runs each shift.

You’ll be responsible for completing pre-shift vehicle checks and ensuring all paperwork is accurately filled out in line with company procedures.

As part of the role, your responsibility will be making sure routine pre-shift checks are done with all the necessary paperwork completed as part of the company policy

What is required to be considered for this opportunity is?

-A valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence

-A valid Driver CPC qualification

-A Digital Tachograph Card in date

-No more than 6 points on your licence

For this role you must have minimum 4-12 months driving experience using a class 1 vehicle. We are looking for drivers who are motivated and want to develop as a well-established driver in the industry.

The position is full-time role with consistent work, week by week, minimum 40-50 hours a week, The team is quite supportive with a great working environment and is great for drivers who are looking for job security

Start times are quite flexible with rotating shift patterns that suit your lifestyle as this a 24-hour operation on a week-to-week basis.

Pay rates depending on the shift

• Monday to Friday day shifts – £18.00 per hour
• Monday to Friday night shifts – £19.00 per hour
• Saturday shifts – £20.00 per hour
• Sunday shifts – £21.00 per hour

With higher rates for driving on the weekend
