Description

As a Housing Advisor specializing in Rough Sleepers (S02), you will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to individuals experiencing homelessness. You will work closely with local authorities, social services, and non-profit organizations to help find suitable accommodation and support solutions for rough sleepers. Your empathy, excellent communication skills, and strong problem-solving abilities will be essential in making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable individuals in need of housing support.

Responsibilities

Conduct outreach activities to identify rough sleepers in the community.

Assess individuals' needs and provide personalized housing advice and support.

Coordinate with relevant agencies to secure temporary and permanent accommodation.

Develop tailored support plans to address complex needs such as mental health issues or substance abuse.

Advocate for clients to access essential services, including healthcare, education, and employment opportunities.

Collaborate with other agencies to prevent individuals from returning to rough sleeping situations.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of housing support interventions and adjust strategies accordingly.
