About this role

Key Responsibilities Financial Management

Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and reconciliations. Prepare and process invoices, payments, and receipts. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and resolution of discrepancies. Take ownership of balance sheet management, including the preparation and review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Support month-end and year-end close processes.

Budgeting & - Reporting

Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts. Produce accurate and timely management accounts and financial reports. Monitor expenditure against budget and investigate variances. Monitor financial transactions to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.

Audit & -Compliance

Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information. Ensure compliance with UK financial regulations, including tax filings, VAT, and payroll.

Payroll Management

Process monthly payroll, including deductions, pensions, and statutory payments. Liaise with employees and external providers to resolve payroll-related queries.

Systems &- Process Improvement

Assist in developing and maintaining financial systems and processes. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, strengthen financial controls, and deliver cost savings Contribute to finance-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
