Responsibilities

Lead and chair Child Protection Conferences, ensuring that they are conducted effectively and in accordance with statutory regulations and guidelines.

Facilitate discussions between professionals and family members to develop and implement child protection plans.

Review and monitor progress of child protection plans, making recommendations for modifications as necessary.

Provide professional expertise and guidance to conference members on child protection issues and best practices.

Prepare comprehensive and accurate reports following conferences, documenting decisions and actions taken.

Work collaboratively with social workers, health professionals, and other agencies to promote positive outcomes for children at risk.

Keep abreast of changes in legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection, and ensure compliance within conferences.
