About the Role

Long Term Futures are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Camden to recruit an Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant for a September start.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support children with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, speech and language needs, and developmental delays. Working closely with the class teacher and SEND team, you will provide 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils develop their communication, confidence, and independence during the crucial early stages of education.

Key responsibilities include

Providing 1

1 and small group support for children with additional needs

  • Supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder, speech and language needs, and communication difficulties
  • Delivering targeted interventions under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO
  • Encouraging engagement through play-based learning and structured activities
  • Supporting pupils with social interaction, emotional regulation, and independence
  • Monitoring progress and adapting support to meet individual needs
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals where appropriate
