Prospero Teaching is currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 Tutor to support pupils within a welcoming primary school in the Christchurch (BH23) area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a tutor, qualified teacher, or experienced education professional who is passionate about helping children achieve their full potential. Working mornings only, you will provide targeted support in English and Maths, helping Year 5 pupils build confidence, close learning gaps, and prepare for the next stage of their education.

Minimum Rate of Pay
£25-£30 per hour
As a Year 5 Tutor, you will
- Deliver engaging one-to-one and small-group tuition.
- Support pupils in English and Mathematics in line with the Year 5 National Curriculum.
- Adapt learning to meet individual pupil needs.
- Monitor progress and complete session feedback.
- Help pupils develop confidence, resilience, and a positive attitude towards learning.
- Work closely with school staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
Desirable, but not essential
- QTS, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience working with Key Stage 2 pupils, particularly Year 5.
- Previous experience in a UK primary school.
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year.
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
- Hold an enhanced Child Barred List DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.
- Provide two professional references related to working with children.
- Have at least one year's experience working within an educational setting.
