We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and well-established primary school in the Stechford area of Birmingham for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their Upper Key Stage 2 team from September.

This is an excellent opportunity to support pupils and work closely with experienced class teachers to deliver engaging classroom support while providing targeted interventions to help pupils prepare for their SATs. The school has high expectations for all learners and is looking for someone who is positive, reliable and passionate about helping children achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities

  • Support teaching and learning across Year 5 and Year 6 classrooms.

Deliver small-group and 1

1 interventions in English and Maths to support SATs preparation.

  • Reinforce learning, build pupil confidence and encourage independence.
  • Work alongside teachers to adapt activities to meet individual learning needs.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Help maintain a positive, engaging and inclusive classroom environment.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school.
  • A good understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • Experience supporting SATs preparation or delivering interventions is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • A proactive, patient and enthusiastic approach to supporting learning.
