Cover People are recruiting on behalf of a thriving secondary school in East Manchester for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of Science to join their team from September 2026. About the Role
- Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach your specialism and Key Stage 5 for suitable candidates
- Deliver engaging, practical and knowledge-rich lessons that foster curiosity and scientific thinking
- Create an inclusive classroom where all students are challenged and supported to succeed
- Assess student progress and use effective feedback to maximise achievement
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to continually develop the Science curriculum
- Contribute to STEM enrichment activities and the wider life of the school
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or due to achieve QTS by September 2026
- A degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or a related Science subject
- A passion for delivering engaging and inspiring Science lessons
- Confident teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Committed to raising achievement and developing your teaching practice
