Cover People are recruiting on behalf of a thriving secondary school in East Manchester for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of Science to join their team from September 2026. About the Role

• Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach your specialism and Key Stage 5 for suitable candidates
• Deliver engaging, practical and knowledge-rich lessons that foster curiosity and scientific thinking
• Create an inclusive classroom where all students are challenged and supported to succeed
• Assess student progress and use effective feedback to maximise achievement
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to continually develop the Science curriculum
• Contribute to STEM enrichment activities and the wider life of the school

About You

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or due to achieve QTS by September 2026
• A degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or a related Science subject
• A passion for delivering engaging and inspiring Science lessons
• Confident teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Committed to raising achievement and developing your teaching practice
