About this role
We are looking for an experienced Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist to join the Stroke Therapies team. The Stroke Therapies Clinical Team lead will work across the Community Stroke team and within the acute Stroke services in University Hospital of North Tees. The role is a combination of clinical and leadership. The Stroke Service is a key priority for horizontal integration as part of University Hospitals Tees. Leadership for this will be essential.
Responsibility for the provision of clinical and operational leadership and management to the acute based stroke therapy services, and the Integrated Community Stroke Services (ICSS) in Stockton and Hartlepool. The focus of this role is on the day to day delivery of excellence in quality care provision.
Responsible for managing with other Clinical Coordinators ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the service across the localities
Contributes to the local SSNAP data collection and analysis of results in order to ensure continuous improvement in both the patient and family experience
Responsible for fostering and promoting a team culture that enables individuals to openly question, reflect and learn from their practice.
Responsibility for 60% operational and 40% clinical duties.
Post holders will be required to work 7 day working patterns, subject to the needs of the service
To represent the service area within the broader multi agency organisational framework and to represent the Senior Clinical Professional as required.

Person Specification
Essential
- Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registration
- Experience of working with Stroke Patients
- Confident working in a multi-disciplinary, multi-agency environment
- Commitment to personal and professional development
- Car owner/driver/ for business use/access to a vehicle for independent travel business use
Desirable
- Evidence of leadership training/experience in clinical leadership
