About the role

The TEC Partnership is seeking an experienced, proactive and people-focused Health and Safety Business Partner (Health and Wellbeing Assurance) to join our Health and Safety Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of a person-centred approach to health, safety and wellbeing across a diverse educational environment. You will provide specialist advice to managers, staff and learners, helping to ensure that health and safety arrangements support inclusion and positive outcomes.

A key aspect of the role will involve undertaking individual risk assessments, including those relating to pregnancy, medical conditions, disability, neurodiversity and other vulnerabilities, working closely with managers to identify practical solutions and reasonable adjustments.

This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting individuals, driving positive change, and promoting an inclusive and proactive safety culture across the organisation.

About the person

The successful candidate will be an approachable and credible health and safety professional with excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships. They will be confident providing practical, balanced advice, managing sensitive situations with professionalism, and supporting a proactive and inclusive safety culture.

Applicants should hold a NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) and have experience in risk assessment, health and safety advisory work, and supporting individuals with medical conditions, disabilities, or additional needs. Knowledge of health and safety legislation, risk management principles, and the Equality Act 2010 is essential.

A First Aid at Work qualification, Mental Health First Aid, training experience, and experience within an education or public sector environment would be advantageous.
