Reactive Maintenance Engineer

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established company for an experienced Reactive Maintenance Engineer to join their permanent night shift team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment, responding quickly to equipment breakdowns and ensuring maximum plant uptime.

The Role

• Responding promptly to machinery breakdowns and carrying out reactive maintenance.
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
• Repairing and maintaining a wide range of recycling and processing equipment.
• Minimising downtime to keep production running smoothly.
• Carrying out planned maintenance where required.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records.
• Working safely and following all health and safety procedures.

The Ideal Candidate will have

• Previous experience in a reactive maintenance role within manufacturing, recycling, waste management, or a similar industrial environment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled engineering experience.
• The ability to work independently on a permanent night shift.
• A proactive attitude with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• A recognised engineering qualification (preferred).

• Permanent, full-time position.
• Tuesday to Saturday, 6:00pm – 3:00am.
