About this role

Accountable for own actions in accordance with the Code of Professional Conduct. Will contribute to corporate objectives, acting within local, Trust and statutory guidelines and policies at all times. Effectively communicate information regarding clinical decisions, policy and care pathways to breast patients/carers and the multi-professional team. A skilled practitioner and clinical leader providing support to the management team, participating in service/policy development. A resource for staff, advising on national, local and Trust policy and procedures/guidelines, ensuring that clinical governance is embedded in practice. Responsible for clinical assessment of a group of breast patients ensuring appropriate care is planned, implemented, and evaluated/audited. Demonstrate a high level of technical and/or practical skills to ensure optimum patient management including complex patient monitoring; equipment management and defined expanded clinical roles e.g. seroma aspiration. Responsible for education and training provision of identified staff groups, patients and carers within defined areas participating in supervision and mentorship as required.
