CNC Press Brake Operator

Masstemps are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Press Brake Operative to join a busy, well-established, and expanding engineering company based in the heart of Kidderminster. The Role

As a CNC Press Brake Operative, you will be responsible for producing high-quality metal components while maintaining excellent standards of accuracy, quality, and safety.

Your duties will include

Setting up, programming, and operating CNC press brake machines to manufacture metal components.

Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

Inspecting finished components using measuring equipment such as calipers, gauges, and protractors to ensure they meet required tolerances.

Selecting the correct tooling based on material type, thickness, and bend specifications.

Carrying out routine machine maintenance and housekeeping to ensure equipment remains in safe working order.

Adhering to all health and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE.

Working to production targets while maintaining high standards of workmanship.

About You

The successful candidate will have

Previous experience operating CNC press brake machines.

Experience with machines such as Amada, Trumpf, or Ermak (preferred but not essential).

A strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and material properties.

The ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings.

Good mathematical skills, including calculating bend allowances and angles.

Experience using precision measuring equipment.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve setup or production issues.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday

Afternoon Shift

2:00pm – 10:00pm

Pay

Up to £17.25 per hour, depending on experience.
