About this role

A Vacancy at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Advanced Practice Physiotherapist to join our internationally renowned Pain Management Centre at UCLH on a part-time (0.6 WTE) basis. This is a unique opportunity to take on a senior clinical and leadership role within a specialist, multidisciplinary team delivering care to patients with complex and persistent pain conditions.

You will act as an expert resource within the service, providing advanced clinical care, contributing to service development, and leading innovation in pain management pathways. This role is ideal for a clinician with significant experience in chronic pain who is passionate about delivering high-quality, evidence-based, biopsychosocial care and shaping the future of pain services within a leading NHS Trust.

In this advanced practice role, you will lead the delivery of specialist physiotherapy within the pain management service, managing a complex caseload and providing expert clinical input across individual clinics, multidisciplinary assessments, and pain management programmes.

You will play a central role in coordinating and developing key areas of the service, including supporting waiting list management, and ensuring efficient and patient-centred service delivery. Working collaboratively within an experienced interdisciplinary team, you will influence clinical decision-making for patients with highly complex needs and contribute to integrated care pathways across the Trust and beyond.

You will also provide clinical leadership within physiotherapy, supporting and supervising junior staff, contributing to education and training, and promoting best practice. A key aspect of the role is driving service improvement, including leading audit, research, and innovation initiatives, and contributing to the strategic development of pain management services.

This role requires a confident and compassionate clinician with highly developed communication and leadership skills, the ability to manage complexity and uncertainty, and a strong commitment to advancing clinical practice, education, and research in pain management.
