What you will do

Attend all calls as directed by the call centre, ensuring timely and effective response.

Conduct thorough clinical assessments for individuals in custody.

Provide healthcare interventions for minor illnesses and injuries, referring serious cases when required.

Perform forensic examinations, including injury documentation and DNA evidence collection.

Assess and treat police officers or staff injured on duty.

Collect specimens in accordance with legal requirements.

Maintain compliance with PACE legislation Code C standards.

Provide written statements and oral testimony in court when required.

Maintain accurate and accessible clinical records.

Assess alcohol and drug intoxication and withdrawal.

Conduct mental health and learning disability assessments.

Collaborate with clinical leadership to enhance service delivery.

Maintain clinical competencies and adhere to forensic standards.

Promote equality, diversity, dignity, respect, safeguarding, and information governance policies.

Utilise the RADAR System effectively.

Person specification

Essential

Registered Nurse (Adult) or Paramedic with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification (or 3 years depending on contract)

NMC or HCPC registration with venepuncture skills

Minimum of 3 years residency in the UK

Experience in settings such as A&E, ITU, EAU, SAU, or as a Nurse Practitioner or Practice Nurse

Valid UK driving licence with access to a vehicle for work purposes
