As a result of our expansion plans, and our continued ongoing success we are seeking a dynamic Demand Planner to be based at our Head Office in Plymouth.

About the Role

As a Demand Planner, you'll play a key role in ensuring the right stock is in the right place at the right time. Using forecasting, data analysis and replenishment planning, you'll help drive product availability, optimise stock levels and support business performance across the supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the forecasting demand of products ensuring that the right amount of stock is available when needed.
  • Review and analyse demand, ensuring forecasts reflect expected demand patterns, including promotional events.
  • Identify SKUs where actual sales significantly deviate from forecast, reviewing anomalies to ensure model accuracy and identifying root cause.
  • Handle and review ordering exceptions
  • Place orders and authorise system generated orders
  • Create and maintain suitable ordering schedules to support availability and replenishment efficiency.
  • Forecast and manage upcoming promotions
  • Review KPIs as well as inbound and outbound projections
  • Liaise closely with Buying teams on product assortment, forecast exceptions, and activity that may impact ordering volumes.

Person Specification

  • Experience in demand planning, forecasting, replenishment, or supply chain within a retail or FMCG environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends and anomalies.
  • Experience working with forecasting or replenishment systems is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with BI or analytics tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong commercial awareness combined with confident communication.
