This is an exciting new opportunity for an experienced youth practitioner to additionally support the development of a skills-based programme within our youth service.
The Specialist AO Practitioner (the “Practitioner”) will provide a key role within the Matthew Project’s Integrated YouCan service for children and young people under the age of 19 (“CYP”) in Norfolk. This will involve working with children and young people, delivering a range of psychosocial interventions in a variety of settings. This includes outreach and the identification, engagement, screening, and assessment of CYP impacted by the substance misuse of others.
The Practitioner will also support the implementation of a skills-based programme for CYP to access, both individually and in groups, with the aim of building CYP’s resilience.
The role is based in Norwich, covering Norfolk. The ability to travel is essential.
The Matthew Project is a value-driven charity working across Norfolk, supporting individuals and communities affected by drugs, alcohol, and mental health challenges.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, including those with lived experience (not currently in treatment). The role will require the completion of an enhanced DBS process before starting.
