14/08/2026As a Linen Porter, you will ensure the hotel maintains the right levels of clean, quality linen so guests enjoy a comfortable and seamless stay. Working closely with Housekeeping and Front Office teams, you will manage linen stock, deliveries and storage while helping maintain the organisation, cleanliness and efficiency of the department.

You will

  • Ensure all floors remain fully stocked with linen and guest supplies
  • Receive, check and store deliveries accurately while maintaining inventory records
  • Monitor stock levels and notify the housekeeping team when reordering is required
  • Carry out quality checks on linen and remove damaged or unusable items from circulation
  • Maintain correct separation and handling of clean and soiled linen
  • Operate linen room equipment safely and effectively
  • Keep linen rooms, stores and housekeeping areas clean, organised and well maintained
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest and colleague requests
  • Support other Porter and Public Area Attendant duties when required
  • Report maintenance issues using the correct procedures
  • Support and welcome new team members into the department
  • Work collaboratively with Housekeeping, Front Office and other hotel departments
  • Suggest improvements that enhance efficiency, stock control and the guest experience
  • Demonstrate a proactive, organised and service focused approach to work

What We’re Looking For

You are reliable, organised and take pride in maintaining high standards. Comfortable with physical work and stock handling, you work efficiently while paying close attention to detail. You enjoy supporting colleagues, keeping operations running smoothly and helping create a positive experience for guests.

Experience in housekeeping, linen operations, porter work or hospitality would be beneficial, but a strong work ethic, team spirit and proactive attitude are equally important.
