Your new role

We are currently recruiting for experienced Accounts Payable Support to join a busy finance team on a 4-week temporary contract, starting ASAP. Based in Sutton Coldfield, this role offers hybrid working with 3 days per week on-site. This is a hands-on position created to provide additional support during a period of increased workload and organisational change. You will play a key role in reducing an invoice backlog by processing a high volume of purchase and non-PO invoices accurately and efficiently. Working within both Oracle EBS and Coupa, you will manually code invoices, investigate and resolve invoice queries, identify coding or VAT discrepancies, and ensure records are maintained to support month-end activities. This is a fast-paced environment where accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to hit the ground running are essential.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience working within a high-volume Accounts Payable function and be confident processing invoices quickly while maintaining strong levels of accuracy. You will have experience using Coupa or a similar purchase-to-pay system, alongside hands-on ERP knowledge, ideally Oracle. You will have a strong understanding of invoice coding, general ledger structures, cost centres and VAT treatment, with the ability to investigate and resolve invoice issues independently. As training and handover time will be limited, you must be a self-starter who is comfortable working autonomously, adapting quickly to new processes and managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience working through a system migration, business transformation or period of organisational change would be advantageous.
