What You Will Do

  • Support the day-to-day running of a busy and professional school catering operation.
  • Prepare, cook and present high-quality meals to the highest standards.
  • Maintain excellent food hygiene, health and safety, and cleanliness standards.
  • Assist with menu planning, stock control, deliveries and food storage.
  • Provide a friendly and efficient service to pupils, staff and visitors.
  • Support special events and functions across the College as required.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider catering team to deliver an exceptional dining experience

What You Bring

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie, or experience as a Commis Chef ready to take the next step in your career.
  • A recognised chef qualification (NVQ Level 2, 706/2 or equivalent).
  • A genuine passion for food and delivering high-quality meals.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive, flexible and team-focused approach.
  • A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene and presentation.
  • Enthusiasm for learning, developing and contributing to a supportive team environment
