742 - Social Care Personal Assistant (for hours please check working pattern and days)

A little about myself

I am a middle-aged lady living in Swansea with a learning dilatability. I am looking for two PAs to work together and take me out on the weekend. I enjoy going out in the community. I love anything that involves being out parks, shopping, music. I do not like shouting or babies crying. I will rock in my wheelchair if I get upset. I will need to be pushed in my wheelchair, and you will need a car big enough. I will also need help with my food and it will need to be mashed or cut really small.

Driver required to take me out.

Female preferred.

Sat and sun 3 hours a day

Rate of pay.

£13.50

Essential

I need you to

• Be happy to help me with toileting.

• Be female.

• Have a car big enough for my wheelchair.

• Are happy to work with another PA

Desirable

I’d prefer if

• You have previous experience.

I’d like support with

• Using my wheelchair in the community

• Using the toilet

• Getting in and out of the car as I can lose my balance

I will need my

PA to

Be friendly with an easy-going manner.

Be adaptable and flexible.

Be supportive but not take over.

Have business insurance on your car to take clients out.

Concerning the position

A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly (Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis). A DBS MUST be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea council where applicant is eligible.
