Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Repairs Supervisor to join a leading property services provider delivering responsive repairs, planned maintenance, refurbishments and void works across the UK.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced supervisor with a strong background in social housing or property maintenance to lead a team of skilled trade operatives, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a mobile workforce, driving productivity, quality and customer satisfaction while ensuring all works are delivered in line with health & safety and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage a team of multi-skilled trade operatives and subcontractors delivering responsive repairs and maintenance works.
  • Ensure jobs are completed within agreed timescales, budgets and quality standards.
  • Monitor productivity, performance and workmanship through regular site visits and inspections.
  • Review completed works, ensuring accurate reporting, job coding and variation management.
  • Work closely with planners, administrators and client teams to maintain an efficient workflow.
  • Ensure all works comply with relevant health & safety legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Complete toolbox talks, site inspections, risk assessments and RAMS reviews.
  • Support resource planning and assist with out-of-hours services where required.
  • Maintain strong relationships with residents, clients and internal teams.
  • Provide guidance, coaching and support to operatives, including apprentices and developing team members.

About You

The successful candidate will have

  • Previous experience working as a Repairs Supervisor, Maintenance Supervisor, Working Supervisor or Senior Multi Skilled Operative.
  • Experience within social housing, responsive repairs or property maintenance environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge across multiple trades.
  • Experience managing teams, monitoring performance and ensuring service delivery targets are achieved.
  • Good understanding of health & safety procedures, RAMS and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • IT literacy, including Microsoft Office and mobile work management systems.
  • CSCS card (preferred).
  • SSSTS, SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely qualification (desirable).
  • Full UK driving licence.
