Ambitions Personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join a well-established engineering company. This is an ongoing temporary position offering consistent hours and an immediate start for the right candidate.

The role will involve the MIG welding and fabrication of bus components, including step boards, handrails, brackets, frames and other structural parts. While the majority of the work will be MIG welding, some TIG welding experience is required as this will be involved from time to time.

Key Responsibilities

• MIG welding of bus step boards and other bus components.
• Fabricating and assembling parts from engineering drawings.
• Carrying out occasional TIG welding when required.
• Inspecting completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Working safely and maintaining a clean and organised workshop.

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience in MIG welding (essential).
• Previous TIG welding experience (desirable).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• High attention to detail and pride in producing quality workmanship.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team.
