Permanent Job Purpose To provide high-quality, patient-centred primary care services while contributing to the leadership, strategic development, and sustainability of the practice. The Salaried GP Partner will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective, and accessible healthcare, whilst actively supporting the achievement of practice objectives and service improvements. Key Responsibilities Clinical Duties Provide comprehensive medical services to registered patients in accordance with GMC standards and NHS Wales requirements. Undertake face-to-face, telephone, and video consultations as appropriate. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions. Prescribe medications safely and cost-effectively. Conduct home visits where clinically appropriate. Manage clinical correspondence, pathology results, and hospital communications. Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records. Participate in safeguarding processes for children and vulnerable adults. Support preventive healthcare and health promotion initiatives. Leadership and Partnership Responsibilities Contribute to strategic planning and future development of the practice. Participate in decision-making regarding service delivery and operational improvements. Support achievement of practice quality standards and contractual requirements. Work with partners and management to identify opportunities for innovation and growth. Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive working environment. Multidisciplinary Team Working Collaborate effectively with nurses, healthcare support workers, and administrative staff. Support integrated working with community and secondary care services. Provide clinical advice and mentorship to colleagues where appropriate. Participate in practice meetings and clinical discussions. Quality Improvement and Governance Participate in clinical audit, quality improvement projects, and significant event reviews. Support compliance with practice policies, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements. Contribute to risk management and patient safety initiatives. Maintain awareness of current clinical guidelines and best practice. Administrative Responsibilities Complete clinical documentation accurately and promptly. Process referrals within agreed timescales. Sign prescriptions within agreed timescales, both manual and EPS Manage test results and action accordingly Manage clinical workflow and action tasks effectively. Assist with reports and medical information requests when required. Professional Development Maintain GMC registration, licence to practise, and appraisal requirements. Participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Keep knowledge and skills up to date with current evidence-based practice. Engage in mandatory training and revalidation requirements.
