We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Wellbeing Group Work Practitioner to join our Domestic Abuse Service on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. This role involves delivering trauma-informed group work to individuals who have experienced domestic abuse, supporting their recovery, resilience, and emotional wellbeing.
This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced and newly qualified counsellors who are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of survivors.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and facilitate structured, trauma-informed wellbeing and therapeutic group sessions for survivors of domestic abuse
Create a safe, supportive, and empowering environment that promotes recovery and self-efficacy
Work sensitively with complex trauma, ensuring a client-centred and strengths-based approach
Maintain accurate, confidential records in line with safeguarding and professional standards
Collaborate with colleagues and partner agencies to provide holistic support
Deliver sessions both in-person and remotely as part of a hybrid model
