Key Responsibilities

Targeted Learning Support

Deliver tailored interventions and lead small group activities in literacy, numeracy, and phonics under the guidance of the classroom teacher.

Classroom Collaboration

Work closely with the class teacher to prepare resources, manage classroom dynamics, and create a vibrant, inclusive environment for learning.

Pupil Engagement

Support individual pupils, including those with additional learning needs or EHCPs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and build confidence.

Foster Independence

Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social development across the primary age range.

Candidate Requirements

-

Level 3 Childcare/Education Qualification (e.g., Level 3 NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent Support Work in Schools qualification) is essential.

Proven experience working within a primary school setting across EYFS, KS1, or KS2.

A strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum and early foundational skills.

A warm, nurturing, and proactive approach with confident behaviour management skills.

A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete one immediately).
