Job Overview
The Registered General Nurse (RGN) is responsible for delivering comprehensive healthcare services directly in individuals’ homes. This role involves managing complex health needs, including administering medications, managing tracheostomies, PEGs, NG tubes, and overseeing care plans to ensure high-quality, person-cantered care.
Key Responsibilities
Healthcare Delivery
Provide comprehensive healthcare services, including physical health care and management of complex medical needs.
Administer medications, manage tracheostomies, PEGs, NG tubes, and other complex health interventions.
Ensure adherence to care plans and make necessary adjustments based on individuals’ health status.
Person-Cantered Care
Develop and implement individualized care plans focusing on the unique needs and preferences of each individual.
Create a supportive and understanding environment that respects individuals’ dignity and promotes their well-being.
Clinical Oversight
Oversee the clinical aspects of care provided by healthcare assistants and other support staff.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Advocacy and Ethical Practice
Serve as a strong advocate for the individuals you support, ensuring their rights and personal dignity are respected.
Uphold and promote Nurseline Community Services’ values and ethical standards in all aspects of care and team interactions.
