Personal Development Tutor
ROLE DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a Personal Development Tutor to deliver engaging and inclusive personal development sessions to further education students within our Creative sector.
The role involves delivering personal development content and projects aligned with the NCG Guarantee, supporting students' wider development and maintaining a positive, respectful and inclusive learning environment.
At Kidderminster College, we are committed to delivering the NCG Guarantee, which provides learners with additional activities, resources and initiatives centred around five core principles: Employability, Community, Enterprise, Mental Fitness and Digital.
The successful candidate will play a key role in helping students develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed for their future. They will support students to achieve their ambitions and career goals through meaningful personal development, tutorial and enrichment opportunities.
The role is focused specifically on personal development provision. It does not include responsibility for curriculum objective setting, formal assessment or qualification verification.
The successful candidate will be expected to follow the College's behaviour policy, build positive and professional relationships with students and manage student behaviour effectively and consistently. They will also be responsible for maintaining accurate registers and recording relevant learner information on the EILP system.
This role requires effective communication skills, adaptability and the ability to work inclusively with a diverse range of learners, including learners with differing needs and starting points.
An interest in, understanding of or experience within the Creative sector would be desirable, as the postholder will work predominantly with collegaues and students within the College's Creative provision.
