About this role
Working with the compliance team, the Compliance Officer will be responsible for monitoring aspects of FM service delivery at Peterborough City Hospital (PCH), Stamford and Rutland Hospital (SRH) and Retained Estates (RE), including Hinchingbrooke Hospital (HH). This includes monitoring of FM Services, including but not limited to, cleaning, catering, portering, traffic, linen and security. As well as computer-based activities, the post holder will be required to undertake significant amounts of visual monitoring activities which involves physical movement around the site.
The FM services at PCH are outsourced and managed under a Private Finance Initiative (PFI). The purpose of this role is to ensure that the services being delivered meet the requirements of the PFI contract as well as standards, such as the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2025.
The FM services at SRH and RE and much of HH are outsourced, but not within a PFI. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that the FM Services are delivered in line with the contracts and standards.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Compliance Officer to support the monitoring and performance management of Facilities Management services across Trust sites. The role involves leading audits and inspections, analysing service performance, managing compliance programmes, producing reports and working closely with contractors, PFI partners and clinical teams to ensure services meet contractual and national standards. You will also support quality improvement initiatives, provide guidance to Compliance Assistants and contribute to the ongoing development of Estates and Facilities services. This is a varied role requiring excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills, alongside the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Priority will be given to colleagues identified as at risk through the Trust’s redeployment process.
Please see the attached job description and person specification for full details of role and skills requirements.
