About this role

An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced, dynamic and self -motivated registered nurse to join the MRI nursing team at QMC. You will be required to be a flexible member of the team, providing support to themodality manager and fellow band 6 MRI Specialist Nurses, to ensure standards are being maintained, evaluated, and where necessary improved.

The successful candidate will work as part of the MRI nursing team to provide a high quality service; ensuring excellent standards of patient care are delivered and maintained before, during and after having a procedure in MRI.

You will be an effective role model, delivering regular clinical care. The provision of clinical and non-clinical governance is an essential part of the role.

We require an enthusiastic and conscientious team player with excellent communication skills who is well motivated and reliable. Previous experience/current experience of airway management and post procedure recovery of adults and children following GA is advantageous for this role.

As an MRI specialist nurse, you are required to be an effective leader and role model, providing regular clinical care to your patients. You will utilise your experience to support the implementation of both clinical and non-clinical governance. You will support your fellow MRI specialist nurses to deliver high standards of patient care that is evidence-based. In collaboration with the modality manager for MRI, you will ensure all patients receive a good experience by evaluating patient processes and redesigning the pathway of care. You will be required to recover patients post GA and therefore, must maintain your airway management competency and training.
