Senior Paediatric Dietitian

To devise an individualised dietetic management and/or treatment plan using clinical reasoning and make decisions regarding and formulate skills to utilise a range of treatment options in formulating a programme of care, carry out nutritional diagnosis and prescribe ACBS products for conditions where there are limited professional clinical guidelines To act as a dietetic resource for the speciality and associated clinical groups To provide complex outpatient clinics as required. The role requires a minimum of one outpatient clinic per week. The types of patients within this patient group include; To contribute to the service development, efficiency and safety in the dietetic department. The department is currently working on a quality improvement project within outpatients and you will have the opportunity to contribute towards this work. To be responsible for implementing the standards and policies within your speciality and/or department, and where applicable, propose changes to working practises. To support in the training of students on clinical placement including A, B and C placement students. To support the clinical supervision of junior colleagues, particularly within the specialty To contribute to the education of multidisciplinary groups, patients, families, carers and general public as appropriate For more information please see attached job description and person specification
