About this role

Job Advert

At Aspire, we work with people with spinal cord injuries to create opportunity, choice and independence. Every year, our

supporters take on incredible challenges to raise funds that help people rebuild their lives after injury.

We're looking for a passionate and organised Challenge Events Manager (Job Share) to help lead and develop Aspire's successful

Open Water Swim programme.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, delivering memorable experiences and making a

meaningful impact through fundraising. Working alongside our existing Challenge Events Manager, you'll share responsibility for

managing Aspire's portfolio of open water swim events, supporting participants from sign-up through to event day and beyond.

Why this role is special

This isn't just event management.

You'll be supporting individuals who are taking on personal challenges to raise vital funds that help people with spinal cord

injuries achieve greater independence and live life to the fullest.

From recruiting swimmers and supporting their fundraising journeys, to analysing event performance and developing new

opportunities, you'll play a key role in helping Aspire deliver life-changing services.

What you'll be doing

* Managing Aspire's portfolio of Open Water Swim events

* Supporting and motivating participants to achieve their fundraising goals

* Building strong relationships with swimmers, suppliers and event partners

* Developing engaging supporter communications and participant journeys

* Monitoring event performance and identifying opportunities for growth

* Managing budgets and forecasting income and expenditure

* Working collaboratively with colleagues across the fundraising team to maximise supporter engagement

About you

We're looking for someone who

* Has experience coordinating events, fundraising campaigns or participant-led activities

* Is an excellent communicator who enjoys building relationships

* Can manage multiple priorities and work independently

* Has strong organisational skills and attention to detail

* Is confident using Microsoft Office and learning new systems

* Understands the importance of excellent supporter care

Experience in fundraising, the charity sector or using CRM systems such as Raiser's Edge would be advantageous, but we're equally

interested in hearing from candidates with transferable skills and a passion for creating outstanding supporter experiences.

Flexible Job Share Opportunity

This is a 14-hour-per-week permanent job share position. We understand that flexibility matters, so working days will be agreed

collaboratively with the successful candidate and the existing postholder. There will be some overlap to ensure continuity and a

seamless experience for our supporters.

This role also offers hybrid working, combining home working with occasional travel to Aspire's Stanmore office, as well as

representing Aspire at events and training days held in coastal locations, including Dover.

Why join Aspire?

At Aspire, you'll join a friendly and dedicated team united by a shared purpose. We invest in our people, value new ideas and

provide opportunities for development and growth.

Most importantly, you'll know that the work you do every day directly contributes to improving the lives of people with spinal

cord injuries across the UK.

Ready to make a difference?

If you're looking for a flexible role where you can combine your organisational skills, creativity and passion for people with a

meaningful cause, we'd love to hear from you.

To apply, please send your CV and covering letter explaining how you meet the requirements of the job.
