The Best Connection Tamworth are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 Driver to join a family-run recycling company based in Tamworth.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional Class 2 Driver looking for a full-time role within the transport and recycling industry, supporting environmental operations through the safe collection and transportation of waste materials.

Job Role - Class 2 Driver (Transport & Recycling Industry)

As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection and transportation of waste materials in line with customer requirements. Loads may include loose materials, baled waste, or skip-contained loads.

Key Responsibilities

• Driving bin trucks and skip trucks safely and efficiently
• Completing daily and weekly vehicle checks in line with company procedures
• Recording and reporting any vehicle defects
• Completing collection and delivery targets
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety and environmental regulations
• Maintaining accurate written and electronic records
• Keeping the vehicle clean and presentable
• Communicating effectively with customers and team members
• Working flexibly to meet depot requirements
• Supporting the safety of drivers' mates and helpers
• Taking part in required training and development

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid Driver CPC qualification
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Maximum of 3 points on licence
• Previous HGV driving experience (waste or similar industry preferred)
• Good understanding of vehicle safety and maintenance
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Reliable and professional attitude
