We are seeking a SOC Operator to join the Operations Centre Control Room, working in a fast-paced environment similar to a call centre.
This role is responsible for supporting the delivery of day-to-day Security Operations Centre (SOC) services and responding to operational requirements across sites nationally.
Working Pattern
Rotating shift pattern of 4 day shifts (07:00–19:00), followed by 4 rest days, then 4 night shifts (19:00–07:00).
Job Description
The successful candidate will play a key role in incident management, safety and welfare monitoring, risk and threat information dissemination, and ensuring SOC operations are delivered in line with relevant legislation, industry standards and service requirements.
The role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to perform well under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver service and incident management support through the Security Operations Centre.
Support the SOC Team Lead in the day-to-day delivery of SOC services.
Monitor the safety and welfare of deployed assets across sites nationally.
Act as the first responder to out-of-hours incidents and planning requirements.
Manage incidents through to conclusion or escalate where appropriate.
Disseminate risk and threat information to relevant stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with the Private Security Industry Act and associated standards, including BS7499.
Produce daily reporting, including productivity and labour effectiveness information.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Experience working within a Security Operations Centre or call centre environment is essential.
Experience working in a structured and process-oriented environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Good report writing and documentation skills.
Ability to remain calm and work effectively under pressure.
Customer service experience.
Comfortable working night shifts.
Ability to follow processes and procedures consistently.
Professional and reliable approach to work.
