For further information on this role, please see the attached detailed Job Description and Person Specification Provide a clinical pharmacy service to the chemotherapy day units and outpatient prescribing clinics. Clinical screen and verify prescription for SACT according to the BOPA Standards for the Pharmacy Verification of Prescriptions for Cancer Medicines. Support the medical and nursing teams though provision of pharmacy advice and ensure the safe and timely delivery of oncology services To work across the chemotherapy day units, outpatient departments and clinic areas to clinically check the appropriateness of prescribing and promoting medicines optimisation Promote the on-going Trust initiatives to continually improve patient experiences of day case chemotherapy Liaise with the pharmacy aseptic, dispensary and clinical teams and the multi-disciplinary team on the day units to ensure an efficient, effective and safe chemotherapy service is provided. Attend unit meetings if required. Participate in pharmacy initiatives within the units as appropriate.
