Administrative Responsibilities Organise and plan the workload of the Service Line Senior Leadership Team ensuring that the arrangements for meetings and appointments are managed effectively; that any relevant meeting material is available as appropriate and that workflow is scheduled so that deadlines are met. The postholder must be able to accommodate both proactive and reactive situations. The business Manager will organise and administer formal meetings including: coordinating and preparing agendas and minute taking and progression of follow-up actions, on the SLT behalf. Exercise judgement and discretion in the day-to-day handling, monitoring and filtering of appointments, correspondence and enquiries received into the Service Line. Support the service line governance requirements, including management and timely updates of the relevant Risk Register Policy Development Responsible for implementing and adhering to policies for own work and involved in working groups associated with service developments within the boroughs which may impact beyond own area of activity. Co-ordinate, organise and contribute to service line policies in designated area of responsibility, taking actions as appropriate. Service Development, Project Management Co-ordinating and assisting the service line on conferences/development sessions/workshops/events as appropriate. Lead and support system change programmes within the designated area of responsibility, applying the principles of service redesign, change management and project management principles. Have the ability to use motivational skills to encourage collaborative working to improve services/performance where there may be resistance to change
