What you will do

  • Perform a comprehensive range of CT examinations in line with departmental protocols and best practice guidelines.
  • Undertake IV cannulation and administer contrast media safely in accordance with local policies and statutory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (IR(ME)R) and Ionising Radiations Regulations (IRR).
  • Maintain high standards of patient care, communication, and dignity throughout the imaging pathway.
  • Monitor image quality, participate in quality assurance programmes and support equipment performance checks.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Postgraduate CT training or significant CT scanning experience.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).

Registration & Compliance

  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Knowledge of IR(ME)R, IRR and current radiographic practice standards.
