Adult Social Worker

We are currently seeking an experienced Adult Social Worker to join a Access and Duty Team.

This role requires a recognised Social Work qualification and a minimum of two years' post-qualified experience.

About the Team

The team works in a fast-paced environment, supporting vulnerable adults aged 18 and over, including individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health needs, and older adults.The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out initial Care Act Assessments, Mental Capacity Assessments (MCAs), and Section 42 Safeguarding Enquiries. The role also involves screening referrals, signposting or allocating cases to the appropriate teams where necessary, and working collaboratively with a range of multidisciplinary professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes for service users.

The team offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, with the expectation of attending the office two to three days per week and working from home for the remainder of the week.

About You

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, motivated, and knowledgeable in adult social work settings, including community, hospital, older persons, and physical disability services. You will hold a Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, or CQSW) and have at least two years of post-qualified experience.

A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be advantageous but are not essential for this position.
