What you will do

  • Undertake occupational therapy assessments and reviews for adults with complex physical, functional, and environmental needs within the community.
  • Review existing care and support packages, identifying opportunities to enhance independence and reduce reliance on formal services where appropriate.
  • Assess, recommend, and prescribe specialist equipment, assistive technology, moving, and handling solutions and adaptations.
  • Complete functional assessments and provide professional recommendations to inform care planning and resource allocation decisions.
  • Work collaboratively with Social Workers, Reablement Services, Health Professionals, Housing Services, and external partners to deliver integrated support.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy recognised by the Royal College of Occupational Therapists RCOT.
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council HCPC.
  • Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development CPD.

Registration & Compliance

  • HCPC registration needs to be maintained throughout employment to ensure the highest professional standards.
