What you will do

  • Lead the provision and development of Aseptic Services within the Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Hospital Trust.
  • Provide expert advice on pharmaceutical matters, particularly within the specialised field of aseptic services.
  • Supervise the Aseptic Services Team in the preparation of Parenteral Nutrition, chemotherapy preparations, radiopharmaceuticals, monoclonal antibodies, immunotherapy, specialised intravenous additives, and other aseptically prepared medicines.
  • Perform final release duties for specialised medicines and ensure sound delegation for final releases as necessary.
  • Act as the Deputy Accountable Pharmacist and Authorised Pharmacist for Technical Services.
  • Implement and monitor Health and Safety policies within the Aseptic Unit and Pharmacy Department.
  • Train staff across all grades in accordance with the training programs for Aseptic Services.
  • Foster excellent working relationships with multidisciplinary teams involved in the provision of aseptic services.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team, Radiation Protection Advisor, and Regional Radiopharmacist to uphold Good Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Practice and other working standards.

Requirements

  • GPhC registration.
  • Driving licence.
