About this role
Masstemps is currently recruiting for an experienced MIG Fabricator Welder to join a well-established and busy manufacturing company based near the Wednesbury area.
The Role
. Carry out high-quality MIG welding on mild STEEL where required.
. Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
. Measure, mark out, cut, drill, and prepare materials using a variety of hand and power tools.
. Operate fabrication machinery including band saws, guillotines, drills, presses, grinders, and other workshop equipment.
. Carry out finishing work, including grinding, dressing, and cleaning welds to a high standard.
. Report any material shortages, equipment faults, or quality issues to the Workshop Supervisor.
. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety procedures.
. Support colleagues and assist with other fabrication duties as required.
About You
- Proven experience as a MIG Fabricator Welder within a fabrication, engineering, or manufacturing environment.
- Confident MIG welding a variety of steel sections to a high-quality standard.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication plans.
- Experience fabricating from raw materials through to finished products.
- Competent using fabrication equipment, hand tools, and measuring instruments.
- Strong understanding of welding symbols, tolerances, and fabrication techniques.
- Relevant welding or fabrication qualifications (e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2/3, or equivalent) would be advantageous but are not essential.
- Experience working with structural steel or bespoke fabrications is essential.

Monday to Thursday
07:30am - 16:30pm
Friday
07:30am - 13:00pm
Pay
£13.50 - £14.50ph per hour, depending on experience.
