The Role of the
Junior Academy Tutor/Coach
You will deliver fun, high-energy technical sessions that spark a lifelong love for the game, while simultaneously working
alongside academic staff to ensure our junior players develop excellent study habits, behaviour, and social skills. This is the
perfect opportunity for an enthusiastic coach and educator to shape the character, discipline, and core skills of young
student-athletes at the most formative stage of their development.

Key Duties and Responsibilities of the
Junior Academy Tutor/Coach
* Plan and deliver fun, high-energy technical training sessions tailored to the development of junior players
*
Academic Support & Tutoring
Deliver study support sessions, assist with homework, and monitor the classroom progress and
behavior of junior academy students.
* Act as a key pastoral figure, helping young players adapt to the dual demands of school and academy life.
* Assist in organizing junior fixtures, managing matchday squads, and coordinating safe transport.
* Maintain records of both athletic performance and academic engagement to provide updates to parents and senior staff.
* Ensure a safe, supportive training and learning environment in strict compliance with school child protection policies.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience working as a tutor, teaching assistant, or mentor within a school or youth education setting.
* An enthusiastic, patient, and encouraging demeanor, with a passion for teaching and inspiring younger age groups (ages 11–14).
* Strong interpersonal skills to build trust with young pupils, and to collaborate effectively with teachers and parents.
* Proven ability to manage groups of young people positively and constructively, both on the pitch and in the classroom.
* Fully committed to child welfare, holding up-to-date safeguarding training and eligible for an enhanced DBS check.
