As a Café Supervisor, You oversee the day-to-day operations of the café, ensuring excellent customer service, high-quality food and beverage standards, and an efficient, well-organised working environment. To lead and support the team while maintaining company standards for cleanliness, health and safety, and operational excellence.

What you'll do

  • Supervise and support the café team during daily operations.
  • Prepare and serve a wide range of hot and cold beverages to a high standard, demonstrating strong barista skills.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve customer enquiries or complaints professionally.
  • Carry out opening and closing procedures, including preparing the café for service, securing the premises, and completing end-of-day checklists.
  • Operate the EPOS/till system efficiently, process cash and card payments accurately, and provide excellent cash handling practices.
  • Balance tills, complete cash reconciliation, and prepare banking deposits in line with company procedures.
  • Support the Assistant Manager with daily operations, staff supervision, stock control, and ensuring operational targets are achieved.
  • Assist with training, coaching, and motivating team members to maintain high performance and customer service standards.
  • Monitor stock levels.
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health and safety, and company policies at all times.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and organisation throughout the café.
  • Support promotional activities and contribute to achieving sales and performance goals.
