As a Technology External Assurance Manager, you'll play a key role in helping us manage technology and information security risks across our supplier landscape. Working within our Technology External Assurance team, you'll help ensure that the suppliers we work with meet the standards needed to protect our business, our customers and the services we provide. This is an opportunity to work across Technology, Procurement, Legal, Data Privacy and other business functions, helping to shape how we manage third-party risk in a changing regulatory and technology landscape. You'll also contribute to improving assurance processes, driving best practice and supporting informed decision-making across the organisation. Key ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee supplier assurance activities, including due diligence reviews, audits and risk assessments throughout the supplier lifecycleReview supplier responses, assess risks and provide clear recommendations based on risk profile and business impactSupport customer information security assurance activities, responding to due diligence requests and managing follow-up queriesReview supplier contracts and help ensure technology and information security requirements are appropriately addressedPrepare clear risk assessments, reports and recommendations for stakeholders and leadership teamsTrack remediation activities and work with suppliers and internal teams to ensure issues are resolved in a timely waySupport the delivery of team reporting, metrics, quality assurance activities and prioritisation of workIdentify opportunities to improve assurance processes, documentation, training and ways of workingBuild strong working relationships across Technology, Procurement, Legal, Data Privacy and other business teamsRepresent the Technology External Assurance function in meetings, projects and stakeholder discussionsProvide support and leadership across the team, including deputising for the Head of Technology External Assurance when requiredWhat We're Looking ForExperience in technology risk, information security, audit, compliance or third-party risk managementExperience carrying out controls assessments, risk reviews, audits or supplier assurance activitiesStrong understanding of information security and risk management principlesKnowledge of industry frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT or PCI DSSExperience working within a regulated environment, ideally with knowledge of UK regulatory requirementsStrong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearlyExperience working with suppliers and business stakeholders to deliver risk-based outcomesStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectivelyExcellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solvingConfidence influencing and challenging constructively when neededDegree-level education or equivalent experienceProfessional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC or CISSPExperience within internal audit, external audit or a regulated third-party risk management functionExperience reviewing contractual agreements from a technology risk or information security perspectiveBenefitsOur benefits are designed to make health happen for our people.
