University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is recruiting a Higher Clinical Fellow (ST3+) in Neurorehabilitation Medicine to join our well-established and supportive specialist rehabilitation service.

This post offers an excellent opportunity for doctors with MRCP who are seeking to develop advanced clinical, leadership, and research skills in inpatient neurorehabilitation, including acquired brain injury and complex neurological conditions.

The role is primarily based at Leicester General Hospital, with cross-site working across UHL hospitals as required by service needs.

What the role offers

  • Hands-on experience in Specialist Neurorehabilitation and Brain Injury Units
  • Day-to-day inpatient management alongside experienced consultants and MDTs
  • Supervision and mentoring of junior resident doctors
  • Active involvement in UKROC data collection
  • Participation in audit, governance, service development, and research

Who should apply

  • MBBS or equivalent with full GMC registration
  • MRCP Part 1 achieved (full MRCP desirable)
  • At least 2 years’ experience at IMT/Rehabilitation level (UK or overseas)
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient‑centred approach
  • Interest in Neurorehabilitation, leadership, and multidisciplinary teamwork
