About this role
A whole-time post as a Clinical Fellow in Paediatric anaesthesia is available now at the John Radcliffe Hospital (Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust).

Clinical sessions will be agreed with the Clinical Lead and will form the basis of the Fellowship job plan. The Fellow will rotate through a modular programme, consisting of four blocks of three months, providing exposure to all the paediatric anaesthetic sub-specialties offered in Oxford.

Opportunities for teaching, training and research will be available within the fellowship programme and will be agreed by the Lead for Paediatric Anaesthesia Fellowship Training with the post holder prior to commencement of the fellowship. In particular – co-ordination and running of the Paediatric Anaesthetic journal club for trainees; as well as the Oxford Paediatric Anaesthetic CPD day, form part of the teaching roles encouraged within this post.
The post-holder will participate in clinical governance activities (within the Paediatric Anaesthetic group and the larger NDA group). Clinical audit, clinical effectiveness, risk management and quality improvement activities as required by the Trust, and external accrediting bodies will be expected and strongly encouraged. It is advised that a suitable project is targeted that can be completed within the Fellows’ employment with the Trust, and one which the Paediatric Anaesthetic Group feels would benefit their service as a whole.
