We are looking for a reliable, kind and caring Personal Assistant to provide cover during holidays and staff absences.
The role involves offering companionship and day-to-day support to a lady living with dementia in her own home. Your support will allow the main carer time away from their responsibilities and help ensure continuity of care in a familiar environment.
Duties will include
• Providing friendly companionship, conversation and reassurance
• Prepare snacks and drinks as required when on shift to maintain nutrition and hydration
• Spending time together and taking part in the activities, she enjoys
• Supporting with personal care tasks, including washing, dressing and continence care
• Creating a calm, respectful and supportive presence when the main carer is absent
