Are you a qualified Electrician with Testing & Inspection experience looking for your next opportunity?

ARC is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing electrical contractor for an experienced Electrician to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to secure long-term work, with the opportunity to move into a permanent position following a successful temporary period.

The role will predominantly involve carrying out electrical inspection, testing and certification across a variety of commercial and industrial sites, with installation work also forming part of the role when required. Approximately 60–70% of your workload will be dedicated to testing and inspection, with the remaining time spent completing electrical installations, remedial works and maintenance.

Projects are located throughout East Anglia and London, so flexibility to travel is essential.

The Role

  • Carrying out electrical inspection and testing of commercial and industrial installations.
  • Completing Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and associated certification.
  • Identifying faults and recommending or carrying out remedial works.
  • Completing electrical installations including lighting, power and distribution systems.
  • Ensuring all work complies with the latest BS7671 Wiring Regulations.
  • Producing accurate documentation and maintaining high standards of workmanship.
  • Working independently and as part of a professional electrical team.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have

  • JIB Gold Card.
  • City & Guilds 2391-52 / 2391, 2931-02 or equivalent Testing & Inspection qualification.
  • Previous experience carrying out inspection, testing and certification.
  • Strong fault-finding and electrical installation experience.
  • Good understanding of current BS7671 Wiring Regulations.
